Dedicated anti-slavery supporter,

December 1st, is Giving Tuesday. This is our once a year solicitation of our Facebook supporters.

Please join us in the spirit of giving. After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we will be celebrating #GivingTuesday.

This year on this global day of giving, we’re hoping to raise $2,500. Money raised will be used to help highlight the issue of human trafficking during the celebration of January as Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

Ways you can get ready for #GivingTuesday:

    • Share our #Giving Tuesday campaign with your family and friends. Invite them to join the cause, too.
    • Make your own donation online at https://iowanaht.org/donate-now/
    • Or, if you prefer, you can mail a check to

Save the Date: Iowa Freedom Summit – January 12, 2021

The purpose of the summit is to educate the public about human trafficking, that it’s happening right here in Iowa, and what services are available in the state.

PPP National Human Trafficking Advisory Council Report 2020

Teresa Davidson is a presidential-appointee to the Public-Private Partnership National Advisory Council. She is the only midwestern representative and we are very fortunate to have someone with Teresa’s human trafficking knowledge and experience serving in a national policy making committee.

Last week on Thursday, November 19th, Teresa was one of the presenters on a Youtube live broadcast that featured the just released first annual report. The 57 page report has just been published on the website of the US State Department. For your convenience, a full copy can be read here: Click here (PDF)

  4. HEAL Trafficking Webinar: “Mandatory Reporting of Human Trafficking” December 1, 2020, 3 pm ET | noon PT
This webinar will offer an exciting opportunity to explore a topic of increasing concern to health care professionals, lawyers, and other advocates. In recent years, increasing numbers of states have been amending their laws to require reporting of human trafficking, especially of children. These laws usually cover sex trafficking and sometimes include labor trafficking. Mandatory reporting requirements raise many clinical, legal, ethical, and implementation issues. The panelists will engage in a lively dialogue about these issues and will respond to questions from participants.
