The Siouxland Restoration Center is the recipient of a house that they will use for adult women who have been domestically sex trafficked. They are naming the home Lila Mae’s House after one of the donor owners.

The Siouxland Restoration Center has been blessed with a beautiful 40 year old home with its contents and a bare basement where they will build 5 new bedrooms and a bathroom. The new facility will serve 7 women. The house is surrounded by a scenic 35 acres of land at the edge of Sioux City. The Center took ownership of the property January 30th, 2017, and will begin renovation in April. They hope to welcome their first guests in July.

Siouxland Restoration Center is a private non-profit agency. They will now start fund-raising for staff and renovations and developing staffing and procedures for the house. They welcome your donations and assistance. The Siouxland Restoration Center is separate from the Siouxland Coalition Against Human Trafficking but their goals and commitment are aligned and supportive. Sister Shirley Fineran, OSF, LISW, is president of the Siouxland Restoration Center Board is also a member of the Coalition, as well as the Board of Directors of the Iowa Network Against Human Trafficking.
