Let’s dig in this election year and ask our presidential candidates where they stand on ending human sex and labor trafficking.

Here are a couple of talking points:

  1. The International Labor Organization says that HT is a 150 billion dollar a year industry. If you become president, what are your plans to end sex and labor trafficking in the U.S. and abroad?
  2. Child sex trafficking is a growing concern in the U.S. and internationally. Traffickers can easily sell children online and offline. What are your plans for preventing this crime, providing services to survivors, and making sure perpetrators are prosecuted?
  3. Or, simply ask: What are your plans to stop human trafficking in the U.S. and globally?

You can also bring signs to candidates talks! Writing “Stop Human Trafficking,” “Stop Modern Slavery” or “Stop Child Sex Trafficking” on a sign and taking it to a talk can help to generate awareness among candidates, with the media, and with others attending the talk.

Email the NAHT on our website and let us know what you do and how it goes!
