Labor Trafficking Workshop

ATTACKING TRAFFICKING AND UFCW LOCAL 431 TO HOLD LABOR TRAFFICKING WORKSHOP

Attacking Trafficking, a local faith based group dedicated to ending human trafficking, has announced that it will sponsor a Labor Trafficking workshop on November 9, 2017. The workshop will also be sponsored by UFCW Local 431 and held at the Union Hall in Davenport. Attacking Trafficking is comprised of local faith groups united in their fight against all forms of human trafficking and to offering help and healing for survivors.

The workshop will be presented by Robin Clark-Bennett from the Labor Center at the University of Iowa.

This is an interactive workshop, free and open to the public. Participants will learn what labor trafficking is, its impact on workers and consumers, US industries where labor trafficking is prevalent, recruitment methods, and ways to combat it and support trafficking victims.
